Dr. Acharya grew up in the Bay Area and went on to earn her Doctorate of Optometry at the UIW Rosenberg School of Optometry in San Antonio, Texas. She is a recognized member of the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society for her academic achievements.

She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Health at UC Berkeley and stayed for another four years for Berkeley's School of Optometry.
She fell in love with the Bay Area and decided to stay for its amazing weather, delicious food, and abundant nature.
Dr. Chu enjoys primary care optometry and is particularly interested in serving pediatric populations.
During her training, she completed externships at the Veterans Affairs Puget Sound Hospital in Washington and the Eastmont Wellness Center, a community health clinic in Oakland.
