Santa Rosa Optometry was founded by Dr. Michael C. Shulkin, OD in 1990 after he spent 7 years working for several optometrist all around San Diego. We are a traditional, family based practice focused on individual care with an easy going atmosphere and we try to have fun at work.
I practice all phases of optometry including pediatric, contact lenses (soft, gas permeable, keratoconus, bifocal (both soft and gas permeable), toric, and most hard to fit modalities), eye disease treatment and management, pre-op and post-op surgical co-managment, dry eye disease and management, as well as general optometric eye care for all ages.
Varilux(R) progressive lenses provide sharp vision at every distance-even in dimly lit conditions-eliminating the blurriness and low-light issues of ordinary progressive lenses.Vision changes as you age, but it shouldn't get in the way of how you live, work, and play.
