Eye Care On The Ridge
I was born in Johnson City, TN and raised in Grayson County, VA. I love spending time with family and friends. I have been with my work family at Eye Care on the Ridge for two years, and I love and appreciate my bosses, coworkers and patients! I am the mom of two (Brandon and Brandi Goad) and also been very blessed with my granddaughter (Khloe Goad).

I was born in Salisburg, NC and raised in Grayson County, VA. I currently reside in Grayson County. I have been in the optical field for 23 years. Eighteen years of this time was spent under the practice of Dr. Henry B. Ford in Galax, VA. After his passing, I was blessed to join the staff of Eye Care on the Ridge. This is where I plan to retire and enjoy the daily effort of assisting our patients that I also call my friends.

I have been a licensed optician for 10 years and truly love helping people see. I have worked for Eye Care on the Ridge for 6 years and love being part of a great team and family. I am married to the love of my life and we have three amazing teenagers.
Services
You'll be greeted by friendly receptionists.
They are experts in knowing the ins and outs of your insurance.
They are well trained in coordinating care with other specialists, and they manage the scheduling of your appointments with our doctors and with others.
You'll be introduced to highly trained and certified technicians who will discuss with you your eye care and vision needs.
They will then guide you through a series of examinations in preparation for seeing the optometrist.
Our technicians are also well qualified to aid with contact lens fittings, instructional training, and troubleshooting.
I attended public school in Fayetteville, NC, graduating from Pine Forest Senior High as valedictorian.
Shortly thereafter, I served for two years as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Bahia Blanca, Argentina.
Everything that I had been raised to believe in and do, such as loving and serving others, became an integral part of who I am.
Some of my experiences there influenced my decision to become an Optometrist as I recognized that as an Optometrist I could serve others, provide for my family, and still have time to be with my family and serve in my Church.
