Our eye doctors are looking forward to sharing the latest eye care innovations with you. We offer comprehensive eye exams and a range of other eye care services in our three eye care centers conveniently located in Henderson and Oxford and Durham, North Carolina. Thorough Eye Exams begins at a quality eye care center with an optometrist who offers options that meet the needs of their patients.

People have different eye care needs based upon age, personal preferences and types of activities they are interested in. To learn more about pricing, hours of operation and accepted payments, please visit the page for each of our offices. We have tried to design this website to be educational. At the end of most of the pages, especially for refractive eye conditions such as myopia and hyperopia, are short videos that help to really educate.

The eyes are the most sensitive and precise part of the human body. This makes sense because it is our primary system for locomotion, and navigation within our external environment.

Ophthalmologists, optometrists and opticians each play an important role in providing eye care to consumers.
Optometrists are your primary eye care providers or eye doctors who provide primary vision care ranging from sight testing and correction to the diagnosis, treatment, and management of vision changes including the diagnosis and treatment of ocular diseases.
They are licensed to practice optometry, which primarily involves performing eye exams and vision tests, prescribing and dispensing corrective lenses, detecting certain eye abnormalities, and prescribing medications for treating and managing applicable eye diseases.
Dr. David Coward is the primary Optometrist in our Henderson Eye Care Center, Durham Eye Care Center.
However, if no other services are required such as management for Diabetes or Glaucoma, a comprehensive or routine eye exam is the standard of care in our offices.
Our automation including autorefractors, visual field machines, and autotonometers help by adding precision to children's eye testing.
Dr. David Coward received his Bachelor of Science degree in Science from The University of Toronto where he also played varsity Tennis and received the T Holders award for athletic and academic excellence.
A general or routine eye examination can help you to treat and prevent many eye diseases and eye conditions.
Unfortunately, people often neglect their eyes and may not be aware of a host of eye diseases.
Just because your eyes are not in pain does not mean that your eyes are healthy.
Also, people's eyes often change very slowly, which can make it hard to detect.
Often during a routine eye exam, our patients are surprised how much clearer their vision can be made.
During a routine eye exam, we screen for all of the possible eye conditions and diseases that can effect your vision negatively.
