Dr. Neil S. Kalin is a board-certified ophthalmologist with over 20 years of experience, providing patients with comprehensive care at his practice in Newark, Delaware.
In addition to his practice duties, Dr. Kalin also holds admitting privileges at Christiana Care Hospital Systems.
He is licensed in Delaware and Maryland.
Dr. Kalin graduated with his Bachelor of Science degree from Duke University, and his medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine.
His postgraduate training included a residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Pennsylvania Scheie Eye Institute, and specialized training in Cornea through a fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.

Dr. Kalin performs complete eye examinations as well as office visits for routine care and the management of eye diseases.
This includes examination for glasses and contact lenses.
During a complete eye exam, you can expect your eyes to be dilated.
It is helpful to have dark glasses or someone else to drive you home, as dilation will blur your vision.
The dilation allows Dr. Kalin to test your eyes for conditions including: glaucoma, macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy.
Our office has state-of-the-art equipment to aid in the evaluation and management of many eye diseases.
Dr. Kalin provides eye exams by appointment.
These range from routine examinations for glasses or contact lenses to complex medical exams for glaucoma, macular degeneration, or diabetic retinopathy.
The exam begins by testing your vision.
A comprehensive exam also involves testing the side vision, eye movements, and pupils.
During a complete exam you will be checked for glasses.
During a complete exam you are tested for cataracts, glaucoma, and macular degeneration.
If you have an urgent problem, there is a doctor on-call at all times.
