Born and raised in British Columbia, Canada, Dr. Reed attended the University of British Columbia where she obtained her bachelor of science degree in cell and developmental biology.
She then attended City University in London, England, where she received her Optometry degree.
Following graduation, Dr. Reed worked in hospital-based optometry in Hastings, England.
During this time, she was also able to participate in a Vision Aid trip to Lac, Albania where she assisted patients in dire need of eye examinations and corrective lenses.
