That is why we schedule eye appointments starting at 7:30am and as late at 6:00pm (along with our "Lunch Express" options). By making eye care more convenient, we also help to ensure that you can obtain that care when you need it for a lifetime of better ocular health and vision. Eye Care Professionals and ophthalmologists have many similarities and differences.
Ophthalmologists are trained to be ocular surgeons; there are 7 different specialties! Since my experience with this clinic i wanted my husband to have his eyes checked even though it had been less than a year since he had an eye exam.
We are so very thankful he went.
Dr. Park is so caring.
There was a little wait but for us it was well worth it.
Dr. Park found a problem with my husband's eye that should have been found during his last exam at another eye doctor's office.
Thank goodness it is still not too late to possibly correct this but disturbing that it was not found before since it isn't something hard for a doctor to see and now we know why the previous eye doctors could not get him to say which of the views were clearer!

Keratoconus is an eye condition that causes a change in the shape of your cornea.
If your eye doctor has told you that you have this condition, you may want to consider corneal cross-linking (CXL) as a treatment option.
At our Columbia, SC, practice, Dr. Dorothy Park & Associates, we offer this method to help preserve your vision.
For those who have keratoconus, the cornea gradually changes shape over time.
The cornea helps to direct light into your eyes correctly, and when its shape changes, you won't see as clearly.
