At Dr. Lu Eye Care we strive to provide you with the very best in eye care as well as superb personal services. Although located inside Costco, Dr. Lu Eye Care is a private practice offering patient-centered eye exams. We do not sell any eyeglasses or contact lens, which allows us to focus solely on our patients and their treatment. At the end of your exam you may take your prescription to the optical of your choice.

Most of our patients choose to use Costco optical because of their large selection of premium eye wear products at exceptional prices. We accept Aetna, VSP, UnitedHealthcare/Spectera, MES, VBA and Medicare & BlueCross BlueShield (for medical related services). HSA/FSA cards are also accepted.
Services
Doctor Lu graduated from Pennsylvania College of Optometry (now Salus University) with honors in 1995.
She had her internship training at The Eye Institute, Philadelphia Veterans Hospital, and a private ophthalmology practice.
Since then, she has been practicing full scope comprehensive eye care and has worked as a clinical instructor at the PCO international program.
Dr. Lu is Therapeutic Pharmaceutical Agent (TPA) certified.
She also had worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine.
Your exam will include testing for glaucoma, screening for ocular disease, and other corrective needs.
Dr. Lu will explain her findings and outline your treatment plan.
If glasses and/or contacts are needed, Costco Optical can assist you.
Although Dr. Lu Eye Care is a separate private practice independent of Costco Optical, we work together to provide continuity of care in a supportive environment.
No, we are a private practice, independent of Costco.
However, if you'd like to use Costco Optical to purchase contacts or glasses you will need a membership.
I've been wearing the same contacts for years, why do I need to come in every year just to get a "new" prescription?
Wearing contacts comes with certain risks and complications that need to be assessed on a yearly basis.
Additionally, your prescription may have changed over time, and should be adjusted to provide optimal vision.
Doctors of optometry (ODs) are the primary health care professionals for the eye.
