A blepharoplasty (commonly called a lid lift) is a surgery to repair droopy eyelids.
It involves removing excess skin and fat from the upper or lower eyelids to restore a more anatomic and youthful appearance.
As we age, our skin loses some of its tone and starts to sag.
This also can cause fat pockets around the eyes to become more prominent.
The result is a droopy, tired, or wrinkled appearance.
Besides making you look older, excess skin can block your side (peripheral) vision.
Blepharoplasty can remove the excess skin to help restore your side vision as well as provide a more youthful, alert appearance.
