This digital image provides us with a baseline point to monitor and detect eye disease such as high blood pressure, diabetes, glaucoma and macular degeneration.
This allows us to asses any changes in your retina at each visit.
Corneal topography is important to obtain the best contact lens fit and to detect any corneal eye disease such as keratoconus.
Additionally, topography is useful to determine a patient's candidacy for Lasik and other laser vision corrections.
