I started Lumina Vision in 2013 in order to provide a world-class eye care center to Sandy and Draper, Utah as well as the entire Salt Lake Valley. I wanted to create an experience that was simple, delightful, friendly, comfortable, and fun for our patients and staff in order to accomplish our mission of "Changing Lives Through Vision". Dr Leishman is originally from Brigham City, UT.
He received his Bachelors of Science in Biophysics at Brigham Young University in 2005 and then earned his Doctor of Optometry at Southern California College of Optometry (now Marshall B Ketchum University) in Fullerton, CA in 2009.
He then completed a residency at Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, IL to specialize in Pediatric Vision and Binocular Vision (problems of eye teaming, tracking, focusing, and visual information processing).
He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and Board Certified by the American Board of Optometry.
