Dr. Baker is a 1999 graduate with Honors from the Southern College of Optometry. During that time, he completed internships at the Missouri Eye Institute in Springfield, MO and at a private practice in Raleigh, NC. Prior to that, he graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1994 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Dr. Baker is a native of Advance and a 1990 graduate of Davie High School.
Dr. Baker is a member of the American Optometric Association, the North Carolina Optometric Society and the Winston-Salem Optometric Society. He volunteers several times a year providing eye examinations at the Community Care Center in Winston-Salem and A Storehouse for Jesus in Mocksville.
