The FSO is supported by our leadership and legislative team, which champions the interests of ophthalmologists around the state as they communicate with legislators, regulators, and key staff. While working to maintain the professional standards of ophthalmology in Florida, the FSO's goal is to protect your patients and your practice. The FSO annually hosts the national scientific meeting, the Masters in Ophthalmology.
The curriculum features national faculty presenting both general and specialized topics, as well as sessions for the whole office, including technician and office administrator programs and a coding and reimbursement course. We actively support efforts to provide eye care to those who need it most.
With that in mind, the FSO cultivates cooperative relationships with charitable vision-care organizations and provides a portal for practitioners to locate volunteer opportunities or recruit volunteers for their own humanitarian efforts.
