The health of your eyes is the most important of all of your senses which is why the recommendation for children is to have regular eye exams. Dr. Bold ensures each patient is fully informed of their diagnosis and the options available to them for correction or improving eyesight.

After learning that a few optometrist's charged additional fees for retraction (I didn't even know what retraction was!), I called Dr. Bold's office and learned that not only does Dr. Bold not charge any additional fees, these other offices were wrongfully doing so per my VSP insurance.

Dr. Bold offers pre-operative and post operative consults for patients who may require Lasik eye surgery in La Palma.
During your initial consultation he will assess your eyes and determine the most likely outcomes from your surgery based.
Your medical history and the potential benefits and small risk of complications will be discussed with you so that you can make the best decision for YOU.
During the post operative phase of treatment he will follow up with you to make sure that you are having a great recovery and will be available to assist with any questions you may have.

To make your pupils dilate the eye doctor will add a few drops into your eyes, once these take effect the optometrist will be able to examine the internal structure of each eye.
A variety of equipment will be used during the exam.
As your pupils become dilated you will be more sensitive to light than usual.

Part of the eye's retina, the Macular enables focus and centralization of vision when performing everyday tasks.
As the Macular degerates so the loss of central vision becomes more apparent.
Of the two types of age-related Macular Degeneration, wet ARMD is the most severe.
The Macular can become scarred by leaking blood vessels that have grown on the retinal membrane.
Part of the eye's retina, the Macular enables focus and centralization of vision when performing everyday tasks.
