Florida Eye Clinic
The Florida Eye Clinic was founded in 1973. At that time, it consisted of one ophthalmologist practicing in a small office in Altamonte Springs. During the past two decades, Florida Eye Clinic has grown to include 13 ophthalmologists and 14 optometrists practicing in 12 locations across Central Florida, from Clermont to Winter Springs, from Kissimmee to Ormond Beach.

Our main office, in Altamonte Springs, is a 30,000 square foot building which also houses a state-of-the-art Ambulatory Surgical Center with three operating suites. An ophthalmologist is a specialist who focuses on the treatment of disorders and diseases of the eye. At Florida Eye Clinic our ophthalmologists are fellowship trained in Cornea, Glaucoma, Retina and Neuro-ophthalmology. Ophthalmologists focus on the medical health of the eye and treating disease states ranging from Dry Eye to Retinal diseases.

Optometrists provide primary vision care ranging from routine eye care to the diagnosis, treatment, and management of vision changes.
Services
We provide comprehensive eye care to patients of all ages.
Our doctors are fully trained and experienced to diagnose, treat and prevent conditions from myopia and hyperopia to glaucoma, cataracts and and provide medical and surgical intervention when needed.
We strive to provide our patients with safe, minimally invasive treatments to effectively relieve symptoms and preserve vision and overall eye health.
As a comprehensive ophthalmology practice, our services include not only laser vision correction and small-incision cataract surgery but also treatments for a range of conditions such as glaucoma, the diabetic eye, dry eye and macular degeneration.
Over 30 million Americans wear contact lenses, according to the American Optometric Association.
Unlike glasses, contact lenses move with your eyes so you can enjoy a larger field of vision with fewer distortions.
You also don't have to deal with frames hovering in your peripheral vision or external lenses that fog up on cold days or get wet in the rain.
There are many different kinds of contacts, including rigid and flexible, extended wear, disposable and planned replacement lenses.
Some can be made as bifocals or in different colors.
Intraocular injections are commonly used to treat retinal diseases such as diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration and retinal vein occlusion.
These diseases often cause blindness and should be treated as early and as thoroughly as possible.
FDA-approved medications such as Lucentis, Avastin or Macugen are injected directly into the eye to help patients maintain their baseline vision and keep vision loss at a minimum.
Many patients often see an improvement in their vision from these injections as well.
Any vision or eye health problems detected are treated by our experienced team of doctors using safe, minimally invasive techniques that take into account the special needs of developing eyes.
Treatment for pediatric vision conditions may include glasses to improve focusing or eye exercises to correct improper vision habits.
More serious conditions affecting the health of the eye, such as glaucoma, cataracts or retinopathy of prematurity, may require medical or surgical treatment approaches.
We strive to provide the highest quality of care so that your child can achieve optimal vision and eye health that does not affect their school work or other everyday activities.
Blepharitis is the chronic inflammation, or infection, of the eyelids and the eyelash follicles along the edge of the eyelid.
Blepharitis, which is not contagious, affects patients of all ages.
In more serious cases, sores can form when the crusting skin is removed, the eyelashes may fall out, the eyelids can become deformed, the infection can spread to the cornea, and patients often experience excessive tearing.
Blepharitis can also cause styes, chalazions and problems with the tear film.
The doctor will be able to diagnose blepharitis after a thorough examination of your eyes.
