My Naval service started as a medical intern and resident in Ophthalmology at the Naval Hospital San Diego after graduating from New York University Medical School.
My residency in Ophthalmology trained me to be an ophthalmologist as well as a cataract surgeon.

Dr. Kamerling is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
Dr. Kamerling began his career by attending the University of Pennsylvania, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree.
He completed his Medical Doctorate at the prestigious Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia.
After graduation from medical school, Dr. Kamerling went on to study Internal Medical at Cooper Hospital/University Medical Center in Camden, New Jersey and stayed there for his residency training in Ophthalmology.
Dr. Kamerling is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.

He worked as a staff doctor at the non-profit South Jersey Eye Center for more than 10 years, including 2 as its Executive Director.
He is an active member of both the American Optometric Association and the New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians.
As a lifelong resident of South Jersey, Dr. Baker is a devoted husband and active member of his community.
