Dr. Pascarella is trained in treating and managing ocular conditions including glaucoma, diabetes, macular degeneration, dry eyes and emergency eye care.
Glaucoma is known as the "silent thief of vision" because it often goes undetected until later in life.
Early diagnosis and close monitoring will help prevent permanent vision loss.
Using applanation tonometry to measure intraocular eye pressure, using pachemetry to evaluate the thickness of the cornea and monitoring a patient's visual field and optic nerve will help best manage this condition.
