Having come to the U.S. from Colombia as an economic refugee, Dr. J. Alberto Martinez came to America to pursue the American dream.
He worked in blue-collar jobs for three years and then served in the United States Navy for six years before finishing college summa cum laude at American University, and being admitted to Georgetown University Medical School.
One of the important values Dr. Martinez was raised with in life was to do well and do well for others.
Dr. Martinez founded Visionary Eye Doctors in 1997 and based on his core value of do well for others, he devoted his life to creating a practice that would provide not only the best eye health care using the latest technology for our patients, but also a practice that was like family and filled with a friendly, patient centered team who genuinely love people and provide a compassionate, loving touch in your journey to incredible vision.
