He is a native of Utah and graduated from Brigham Young University in 1999.
He then graduated with honors from Southern California College of Optometry, where he received his Doctor of Optometry degree in 2003.
While attending the Southern California College of Optometry, Dr. Morrill received several awards including the Utah Vision Foundation Schoalarship, the SOLA Quest Scholarship, the Vision One Private Practice Scholarship, and was one of only four students to receive the Western Interstate Commerce for Higher Education (WICHE) scholarship sponsored by the state of Utah.
