We are Doctors of Optometry, and See Saw Eyecare is about our family taking care of your family. You'll see that things are a little different here compared to most other eye clinics, but we think our patients kind of like it that way. Or let us style you into the perfect fit. Our practice emphasizes providing patients, especially young children, with the tools and strategies necessary to foster proper development of vision.
We provide Vision Therapy, a non-invasive, doctor-supervised program that develops visual skills tailored to the specific needs of each patient. We also provide Vision Rehabilitation, services and visual aids for patients experiencing vision loss or changes in visual function.

Guidelines released by the American Optometric Association recommend that a well child should have their first eye examination at 6 months old.
Children should then have eye exams at 3 years old, 6 years old and then as recommended after that.
Any child wearing glasses should have them updated every year.
At the infant eye exam, an optometrist will check your child's vision, check for any significant refractive error (near/farsightedness), check eye movements, and check the overall health of your child's eyes.

Myopia, or nearsightedness, is a common visual problem where objects far away appear blurred.
There are approaches to changing or slowing the development of myopia using contact lenses, multifocal lenses, medications, and vision therapy.
Myopia is the visual condition of the eye where the eye is focused at a near point, and is unable to focus further away than that point.
This is generally caused by the eye growing larger or longer than normal, which causes distant objects to be focused in front of, instead of on, the retina.

We've spent a lot of time thinking about how excellent vision can make a difference in a child's life.
