We all have a clear lens in our eye that helps us to focus.
When this clear lens becomes cloudy it is called a cataract.
In most instances, cataract formation is a normal aging process in the eye and it usually causes unwanted visual symptoms.
People with cataracts may experience glare symptoms, difficulty driving a car at night, blurry vision, need for brighter lights when reading, difficulty reading fine print, difficulty reading words or scores on the television, or even halos around lights.
Joy bells ring when I relive my recent cataract experience, thanks to you.
Some physicians have warm and pleasant personalities.
Some are admirably skilled at what they do, but cold cucumbers toward their clients.
You are a combination of seemingly super-human skill, efficient workmanship, and a compassionate, concerned attitude toward your clients.
Please never change or lose your steam.
Thank you for restoring my eyesight.
It was almost a dance in the park on a lovely Spring afternoon.
May God bless you and your life of compassionate professional service.
Glaucoma is a disease that can damage the eye's optic nerve and result in vision loss and blindness.
It is one of the main causes of blindness in the United States.
However, with early detection and treatment, you can often protect your eyes against serious vision loss.
Therefore it is very important that it be diagnosed early.
The physicians at Dailey Harvey Eye Associates utilize specialized equipment, such as the optical coherence topography, automated visual field perimetry, and pachymetry, which are used to diagnose glaucoma and determine the appropriate treatment plan.
Regular dilated comprehensive eye examinations are recommended by the National Eye Institute and the American Academy of Ophthalmology to ensure the health of your eyes.
During a comprehensive eye examination the eyes are evaluated for vision problems and eye diseases.
The frequency of eye examinations is determined by your age and by the health of your eyes.
A complete exam will last forty five minutes to one hour.
If an abnormality is detected, ancillary testing may be performed to help with diagnosis and treatment.
