Northern Virginia Ophthalmology Associates, P.C. (NVOA) is a multidisciplinary practice that provides medical and surgical care for your eyes. Your eye health is our number one concern. Dr. Justin Torosian is the newest addition to our pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus specialists. He will begin seeing patients in mid-August. Dr. Shelly Watson will also join our team in October.

She specializes in cornea, cataract, and refractive procedures.

If an observed holiday falls on a Saturday, it is observed the preceding Friday.
If an observed holiday falls on a Sunday, it is observed the proceeding Monday.

Patients who wish to change their contact lens brand or patients who wish to be fitted for contact lenses for the first time must be seen by one of our optometrists.
While they might renew your contact lens prescription, our ophthalmologists do not perform contact lens fittings.
Fundus photography involves taking a photo of the interior surface of the eye.
The clouding can occur in a number of different patterns, and cause problems such as blurry vision, glare, trouble reading, and worsening nearsightedness.
Surgery involves removal of the clouded lens from the thin capsule that surrounds it, and replacing it with a new lens.
It is always done in the operating room by an eye surgeon.
Laser can sometimes be used for small parts of the surgery.
Treatment for glaucoma involves lowering the eye pressure.
Glaucoma occurs because the eye's own drain is not functioning properly for a variety of reasons.

If you do not see your insurance listed below and you still wish to see one of our physicians, you may schedule an appointment as a self-pay patient and pay out-of-pocket for services rendered.
