Family Vision Center Of Tacoma
Family Vision Center of Tacoma has provided affordable, quality eye care service in Tacoma's North End since 1968. We are known for personal, family-oriented care, and a large selection of frames and contact lenses to compliment all faces and budgets. Doctors Stanley Pugh and Nathan Gorham are Optometric Physicians, eye doctors who have many years of experience.

Our optometric technicians and professional staff will help you choose the right frames and lenses for your individual vision needs, and we bill almost all insurance plans. The most important thing you can do to preserve your vision is to visit your eye doctor for regular eye exams. With regular visits and a great rapport with your optometrist, the better informed you are and the easier it is to prevent and manage present and future vision problems.

Services
We are extremely grateful and appreciative of all the kind words we have received over the years.
We pride ourselves on commitment to excellence and constantly strive to make your experience one that will earn your trust and loyalty.
I just want to thank everyone for being so kind and helpful.
It's the first time I have glasses I actually like thanks to the girls at the desk assisting me in my search for frames.
You were all wonderful and I really appreciate it!
I'm so happy we came back!
Our whole family has been treated so well.
We strongly encourage everyone to get a routine comprehensive eye exam once per year.
Eyes are unfortunately a place where permanent damage may be happening without symptoms occurring until a disease has progressed to a late stage and little or nothing can be done.
Many eye diseases, such as glaucoma, normally give no symptoms or sensations until much permanent damage has occurred.
Early detection makes the chances for successful treatment much higher.
With some simple tests, done at all routine exams at our clinic, we can detect the early onset of serious eye conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, or retinal tears and detachments.
At Family Vision Center of Tacoma, we have been taking the time to listen to and get to know the people who come to us for care since 1968.
We are dedicated to providing the highest quality of personalized care at an affordable cost.
After listening to their patient's needs, our doctors perform unabridged examinations and fit contact lenses based on their experience with thousands of patients.
Using the latest tools and products, we apply modern medical science to your needs with a practiced hand.
Whether you want the freedom to be more active, or want unrestricted peripheral vision, contact lenses are an excellent alternative to glasses.
With the variety of lenses available now, it is increasingly difficult for us to find people who cannot wear lenses if they are motivated to do so.
Over 80% of the contacts worn in the U.S. are disposable soft lenses: they stay very clean and as such cause fewer eye health complications; they come in packs of at least six, so are easily replaced if lost or damaged; and, they are relatively inexpensive.
Eyeglasses, also called spectacles, are custom-made specifically for the person who is prescribed them.
Though spectacles are extremely common, there is a lot of time and expertise that goes into fabricating them behind the scenes.
The measurements of today's frames and the placement of the lenses in them are made down to the half millimeter, and their optics are very sophisticated, making them comfortable to wear, and crisp to look through.
Given how important vision is to our lives, and how prominently spectacles are displayed on our faces, getting glasses made of good quality materials and consulting a professional to advise you is wise.
