I was born with major vision problems over 60 years ago and not much could be done except to wear eyeglasses. When I was diagnosed with cataracts as few years ago, I knew that I needed to go to the best doctor to restore some vision. I was introduced to Dr. David Perlmutter when he was a resident at Wills Eye Hospital. He became my surgeon for my cataract surgery.
He was well educated, confident, yet down to earth and caring with a warm personality. I knew I was in good hands. My custom cataract surgery included the insertion of a Toric lens to correct my astigmatism. My vision was made clearer than it ever was in my lifetime! I was present at the birth of our granddaughter in April of 2014 and for the birth of her brother in April of 2015.
Thanks to the knowledge and skilled hands of Dr. David, I was able to clearly see the miracle of birth for both grandchildren. I am 93 years old, and I have a medical history going back to the 1950's. I had cataract surgery with Dr. Lawrence Perlmutter in 1988, and I see as well as I did forty years ago.
