Dr. Ricardo Silva, Optometrist who's family practice is located in Miami, that specializes in Contact Lenses and glasses prescriptions. His specialty is with Toric, Multi-focal Lenses, and eye conditions such as Keratoconus but also provides exams for eye health. Ricardo Silva, O.D. grew up in Miami and graduated from the University of Miami with a BS in Electrical Engineering.
He then attended University of Southern California and graduated with a MS in Computer Engineering. During his time as an engineer, he developed computer systems for IBM in Silicon Valley. After, he moved back to Sunrise Florida to work with Motorola creating two-way radios and cellular phones. At this stage of his life he decided to change his path and attended Nova Southeastern University where he fell in love with the complexity of the human eye, graduating with a Doctor of Optometry degree, with Honors.
During his studies in optometry school he took interest in specialty contact lenses and worked on research for a contact lens disinfection study.

A: The only thing you need to bring is identification.
We do not need to bring your insurance card unless medicare is your primary insurance which it is required to bring your medicare ID card.
We will have your authorizations prepared in advance after you make your appointment.
We have an Optical shop on site with a beautiful selection of frames and an amazing staff of certified opticians to help you find the right glasses for you.
We have the proper forms needed to give to the DMV and Dr. Silva will be more than happy to fulfill this request.

Some patients may have unique or special circumstances that regular contact lenses cannot correct such as Kerataconus.
